Here's an interesting twist to our story so far and a lesson about credibility that comes with Massive Action. If Heidi and I can do this - so can you!

Perhaps you'll remember Heidi and I. We sat in front of you all weekend long and spoke with you at the end of the event where you graciously allowed us to have a moment and a picture.

Expect big things from us.

We already have an internet guru - JV partner lined up. He has agreed to work with us as we develop our site, I updated him about our progress on the proposed JV and told him we have signed on for mentoring which I am certain lent a lot of credibility as to how serious we are.

(In the letter I've shared with Derek who the guru is - but out of respect for this particular guru, I won't share that publicly until we launch...)

This internet guru wrote to me this morning about our joining the IMC protégé program:

"....that's awesome Danny...love your blog by the way. You're very passionate about your mission to change the face of divorce so I can tell now that you will dominate your market...."

(I want all of you Boot Camp attendees to imagine when an internet guru you admire and respect writes that to you how you'll feel. I can tell you it really made our day!)

Thank you, thank you, thank you Derek! And I really mean that from the bottom of my heart.

I've been trying to get my partner Heidi on board with starting an on-line business for years, since 1995 when I first began buying books on the subject. I tell you this - me spending this kind of money is a pure business decision, because I was convinced a long time ago that I would do whatever it took to get us making money on-line.

Heidi whipping out that credit card without any sort of egging on from me tells me she is very, very, very, very serious and is finally ready to do this.

Hallelujah! Finally light at the end of the tunnel!

You should know - I would have whipped out my credit card for this program a long time ago, but I respect Heidi's feeling and judgment. She was not ready. So I never thought that would happen this weekend at all - it really shocked me that she was egging me on to do this with her!

If I could of figured out a way to do get an e-commerce site working in 1995 when I first began reading about it, I would have done it - I could see it that clearly back then - I have a shelf full of books that I read on a trip to the West Coast that summer. I've done a lot of reading and trying since...

However what we needed was a mentor to help us, because there is so much we don't understand in order to implement an e-commerce site.

It is said when the student is ready, the teacher will arrive. Thanks for finally showing up in Toronto! we are very committed to having a long term relationship with IMC's programs, mentoring, weekends etc

We’ve picked Donna to assist us after speaking with her on Friday night As our first step with Team IMC. We are eagerly awaiting your help to unlock the door on how to properly structure an on-line business. We're both so excited, we can barely wait!

SOME IDEAS FOR YOU....

Your podcast - I listened to the podcasts you did with Scott. I have a proposition for you...

Since Heidi and I will be working with Donna, we'd be happy to do a short podcast on our progress every two weeks that you could use in your podcast with Scott if you'd like.

Toronto user group/affiliate program - Also - several of us agreed to form a user group in Toronto. Perhaps I could also record some stuff for the podcast for that.

Podcast review for ITunes - I also wrote a review for ITunes , I hope they post it. I have e-mailed it to Scott for your use if you wish.

Theme song/background music for your podcast – Lastly, if you want some original background music for your podcasts, let me know I'd be happy to custom compose something especially for IMC as my way of saying thanks for such a amazing weekend.

Let me know your thoughts, no matter how short they need to be - I know and appreciate that you're a very busy guy.

Thanks again so much for such a super weekend and for persuading my often reluctant partner to really go for it...

Without a doubt, Scott’s section was the most valuable thing we learned.

We have found several person's to create a Toronto User Group, I think we Are the only ones in the mentor program though of the core group, so we'd like some help/support so we can see if we can organize a monthly meeting here in Toronto to network and bring new people in.

Absolutely, in fact I would be actively promoting it as an affiliate! Hence why we want to have a user group! WHAT SUPPORT CAN IMC OFFER?

Cancel any plans you have and even if you must crawl on your hands and knees, go to this event because it will change your life.

Finally a personal note & request:

The last several months since Corey's unfortunate passing, to be sure have probably been the most difficult of your life.

We can relate, having ourselves lost a frind, client and divorced dad we worked with for the last nine years to cancer at age 39 on January 8th. We have flown all the way to Europe to pay our final respects on the 14th of January. We only just got back from Europe a week before the bootcamp.

His family court matter was terrible – the mother was arrested for assaulting his new partner when she was pregnant; she spent time in jail for that. His case went on for over five years when I successfully helped him get custody of the children and permission to relocate to Europe.

However I think the stress of it all provoked cancer. He was diagnosed with it about 2 years after he left Canada....

Watching you last weekend Derek, I could not help but be struck by what an amazing job you did, in memory of your friend Corey...

You did this while I am sure you’re likely still reeling from the shock of his passing. WE WANT YOU TO KNOW that you did a great job Derek; you’ve kept your promise and your friend's dream alive.

Corey would be so very, very proud of you and Team IMC for continuing his legacy. Corey was right there with us all weekend long...of that there is absolutely no doubt in my mind.

Not only was Corey a genius marketer, he was a genius at hand-picking his successor and team....that's what I learned last weekend

Well Done, and Bravo Derek and IMC Team Members!

We appreciate the shock of losing a good friend. For us it was immeasurable too, and forms a large part of our motivation in what we are doing in attending the Bootcamp and signing on for the mentoring.

We want to raise some very serious funds with our first JV to help his widow and five kids aged 5-16.

As I wrote earlier, we have a JV that we’re working on to sell an e-class where the first one, our share of the profits will go to this family.

It would be a real dream come true to have all the internet gurus help us out with this one. It would help me to properly honour my friend's passing, by helping his widow and five children to ensure they are going to be OK financially - in fact I hope to help her learn e-commerce with your course.

You can fish for someone or you can teach them how to fish.

I’m going to be asking the internet guru JV partner to help us out in issuing a challenge to all the top guru’s to help five kids and Their widowed mother learn how to fish for herself so she can generate enough income to support herself and those kids.

She is one of the most competent women I know, so I am certain with some help we can make a big difference. Everyone needs a helping hand at least once In their life – My business has been very good to me and Heidi, so this is our way to give something really awesome back, to a family that deserves it.

I also expect it to be an extremely profitable JV Derek (I’ll be donating 100% of my profits to this family...)

Divorce is a high ticket item – our two person operation does about 35-45 K a month. Legal services have a very high perceived value. So I’m certain when this JV is rolled out, it will be very profitable for the JV partners.

And people are looking for the solutions Heidi and I offer. Being adult children of divorce, we know first hand at our ages just how devastating it can be.

We want to end that once and for all. We have real solutions, based upon ompassionate insight gleaned over a lifetime.

The JV will be our second project once we learn the basics from you and team IMC on how to properly structure such ventures. We are in for the long haul and a long successful relationship with you and your team.
