"WE HELP FATHERS WAGE PEACE IN FAMILY COURT"

1. Housekeeping items

Our progress on the mentoring program continues

So far we have:

(a) Watched the Ultimate Seminar;

(b) The Bonus Jermaine Griggs Video's;

(c) Read the Read Me First for the 2005 Insiders Secrets;

(d) Quick Start Guide for the 2005 Insiders Secrets; and

(e) Begun reading Step One of 2005 Insiders Secrets.

However we had some housekeeping to do. You see we have a lot of the Internet Success Tool Box materials so we got a discount on the program, but…I had to re-organize things…

Such as:

• Get our customer ID and passcodes to be the same on all of our various IMC e-books

Many are not opening at all, some may be the code, some won't even open, some may be a firewall problem as we seem to have a problem with the IMC Desktop Marketer (not the program itself, but the one IMC puts on our desktop…)

We don't seem to have any messages but the first one...and we are connected to the internet just fine. We are using an HP Media Centre with over a gig in memory...so we may be in need of some technical support.

• Develop a filing system for where these things are stored on the Hard Drive to make sure we have everything that we are supposed to have with the course that is in the Internet Success Tool Box.

Filing is complicated by the fact that we are primarily MAC people in a WINDOWS world…we get our e-mail and do most things on the MAC, and have the WINDOWS PC for those things we need them for.

So, downloads go to the MAC and are transferred over to the PC.

More often than not it all works - once in a while something gets corrupted. Sometimes because of our network configuration we get strange things that happen…

All of this played into the events of today and where I ultimately arrived.

I organized my filing on our computer to match the Internet Success Tool Box Brochure from the seminar in Toronto so there are five folders to enable me to have a filing system for e-books and software items/codes etc. and compare what we have to the brochure.

The corresponding folders are:

1. The Core Information – Items 1-9

2. Building a Successful Sales Web Site – Items 10-16

3. E-Mail Marketing Automation – Items 17-23

4. Affiliate Marketing – Items 24-27

5. Advanced Traffic/Selling – Items 28-36

We seem to be missing (Using the brochure numbers as a Guide) The following printed materials, e-books and or CD's etc.

NOTE Some of these items may be called something else, other than what they are in the brochure…. Because I seem to have a few extras... Maybe the extras are discontinued items...

I have written support and hope to have answers and solutions soon with it all filed nicely for ease of reference.

2. Assignment of mentor

We requested Donna as a mentor. However my understanding is it may be a bit yet before mentoring begins - But no one has told us when that is yet.

That would be a place in customer service follow-up that can be improved upon. When you get your welcome package, a timeline would help, so you got a sense of how this will all unfold.

But I expect that will happen soon enough.

3. AssocTRAC contract

That has arrived - You get a year of free hosting before those charges kick in according to the brochure…

THEN THE LIGHT BULB WENT OFF…

Which leads back me to the whole reason for this entry - "The Fundamentals & Housekeeping: How these mundane tasks led to an set of unexpected and extraordinary insights…"

Scott's talk on Friday began to make new sense in a whole new and very unusual way after almost a day of filing stuff on the computer.

Isn't the filing the major complaint on the internet?

Isn't that why we infopreneur's make money?

Because no one can find anything useful that is free because of information overload?

Well then what is search engine optimization? What is at its core?

Alexa and Google are "a democratic filing system". Here is my over-simplified attempt to appreciate what Scott said on Saturday night.

That's what Search Engine Optimization (SEO) is all about - People enter a search term to solve a problem and the engine looks in its filing system and spits out the most likely places to look in the "filing cabinets" better known as the internet.

Search engine optimization takes what we'd find in Overture or Wordtracker or Site-Build It's keyword list builder and we then build content around that keyword, making sure the URL, title and content have good Keyword density in context.

The GoogleBot Spider checks all those area's along with relevant incoming links and begins assigning weights to pages relative to other pages and spits out results.

Our web site at fathers-resources.com however has none of that. But it does have RSS and one link with BlogsCanada.ca, which is ranked at 136,868 on Alexa. The webmaster for BlogsCanada is our tech guy, and a heck of a nice guy Jim Elve who lives down the street from us in Waterford, Ontario.

Without any SEO whatsoever on fathers-resources.com we are ranked at 316,692 on Alexa. No Blogging, no podcasting no tweaking of any kind - just a news section with lots of RSS feeds.

So it has to be the RSS feeds folks - because we have done zip/nada other than add content to the site that is not optimized, keyword dense etc etc etc.

Now here's the best part - we are in the business of fathers' rights. But we don't use that term to often, as its not politically correct, and really we are more about kids' rights to having a relationship with DAD after separation and divorce.

So I checked out the competition - the # 1 site for fathers' rights is ranked at 673,821 on Google.

So imagine what is going to happen when we do some SEO and apply what Scott taught us last Saturday night…

I just about needed a several pairs of extra absorbent diapers for seniors when the implications were absorbed. No wonder it took 10 minutes, if you followed exactly how Scott got his results by hooking up SEO with his other strategies.

So I looked at Divorce -

The # 1 sponsored link is at 1,608,307 on Alexa;
the # 2 sponsored link is at 467,550 on Alexa;

The # 1 unsponsored link is at 22,839 on Alexa
The # 2 unsponsored link is at 136,605 on Alexa
The # 3 unsponsored link is at 462,382 on Alexa

Fathers-resources.com no SEO, none of Scotts other strategies applied yet is at 316,692 on Alexa…

My challenge to you is get your filing in order on your hard drive, then think deeply about what you have done and apply the above to your industry

We are in the midst of an upgrade of that software so we can best use the unique SEO strategies taught by Scott on Saturday.

We'll also be re-designing this site using everything we have learned so far. I expect to really rip our site apart and re-construct it with great copy, squeeze pages and what Scott taught.

It's not hard to imagine total market domination in one year based on all of these things…
